about me
I am a psychotherapist and art therapist in private practice in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California and I offer virtual telehelath sessions to clients throughout California. In addition to my private practice work, I hold a faculty position as a Senior Lecturer in Loyola Marymount's graduate department of Marital and Family Therapy. I also facilitate Parent & Me groups and classes.
I completed a dual Master of Arts degree in Marital and Family Therapy and Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University, where I received the Helen Landgarten Scholar award and a fellowship in their art therapy clinic. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley.
I obtained clinical training and experience at Ocean Park Community Center, Santa Monica Alternative School House, Bay Area Addiction Research and Treatment Programs, and the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Research Program of the University of California San Francisco at the San Francisco Veterans’ Administration. I have worked with children, adolescent, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, low self esteem, parenting challenges, domestic violence, homelessness, and substance abuse. I have conducted research on the use of art-based storytelling in the treatment of trauma and have presented at local and national art therapy conferences.
I consider it the deepest priviledge to witness and support your journey. I build authentic connections with my clients that enable us to find the best path toward growth. Let’s connect over a complimentary telephone consultation to explore whether my approach is the right fit for you.
