Areas of Practice
PSYCHOTHERAPY
As a therapist who specializes in maternal mental health, art therapy, and life transitions, I help you make space for the person you are becoming. Whether you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or creatively blocked, we’ll create a supportive structure to help you move forward. My approach incorporates elements of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and post-modern theories. I will help you to identify tools and techniques to develop your inner strengths and resources.
ART THERAPY
I am a board-certified art therapist, trained to guide clients through the healing process of expressing emotions through image and symbol. Art therapy is a powerful approach for those who feel stuck or find words difficult, or anyone ready to view challenges through a different lens. You don’t need artistic skill—only a willingness to explore. I offer art therapy for anxiety, identity shifts, and emotional overwhelm, especially for creative women and sensitive individuals seeking deeper insight.
SUPPORT FOR NEW PARENTS
I have extensive experience supporting new parents, including mothers experiencing postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, or simply the invisible, emotional labor of parenting. I hold specialized training in Maternal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International, and I’ve spent over a decade as a new parent educator.I offer therapy to support the development of a new motherhood and parenting identity, with awareness and education about baby development.
Fees and Insurance
The fee for a 50-55 minute psychotherapy visit is $225, and a sliding scale may be available based on need.
If you would like to use your insurance plan, I am an in-network provider for Aetna, Cigna, United and Optum through Alma. (These plans also include some smaller plans under their umbrella, so if your plan isn’t listed here, you can check to see if its covered through Alma.) For any other insurance plan, I am an out-of-network provider and I can provide receipts which you may submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. The amount of reimbursement depends on the requirements of your specific insurance plan. You should be aware that insurance plans generally limit coverage to certain diagnosable mental conditions. I am unable to guarantee whether your insurance will provide payment for the services provided to you. You are responsible for communicating directly with your insurance provider, verifying and understanding the limits of your insurance coverage, and paying all fees in full at the time of session.
If you do not plan to file a claim with your insurance to cover any of the cost of treatment, you are entitled to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, a Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you attend, your individual circumstances, and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services listed in the estimate. You have a right to initiate a dispute resolution process if the actual amount charged to you substantially exceeds the estimated charges stated in your Good Faith Estimate (which means $400 or more beyond the estimated charges). You are encouraged to speak with me at any time about any questions you may have regarding fees, insurance, or the information provided to you in a Good Faith Estimate.
